My stay at Ca' Nigra Lagoon Resort was a mixed bag. The hotel had beautiful grounds and friendly staff who really made an effort to provide excellent service. However, I encountered some issues with my room's amenities that left me a bit disappointed, especially considering the hotel's reputation.

I stayed in a standard double room on the ground floor. While it was clean and had a beautiful canal view, the space felt a bit worn and could use some updates. The shower was tiny which made it awkward to use, and the bed was a bit uncomfortable.

I loved that the hotel was located in a less touristy area of Venice. It was a bit of a walk to the main attractions, but that made exploring those charming, quiet streets a delight. Plus, the nearby gardens were gorgeous!

Breakfast was served in the beautiful rose garden, which was a great setting. While I enjoyed the view, I found the breakfast offerings a bit lacking in taste. Thankfully, there were plenty of good local restaurants nearby.

The hotel had some nice amenities, like a lovely garden and easy luggage handling. However, a snack option late at night would’ve been a nice touch, as my late arrival left me a bit hungry.

My stay at Ca' Nigra Lagoon Resort had its ups and downs. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the train station and surrounded by beautiful gardens that offer wonderful views of the Grand Canal. However, my room was located too close to the front desk, which made my stay less relaxing due to noise disturbances. Overall, it was a nice experience with some notable highlights.
